About us:
Woorabinda MPHS is more than a hospital; it is a vital community hub located 175km southwest of Rockhampton. We provide comprehensive first-line healthcare, including emergency, maternal health, and renal dialysis. Our facility is a leader in implementing the First Nations Health Equity Strategy, ensuring that every service we provide is co-designed with the community and grounded in our values of care, integrity, and excellence.
About the role:
- Deliver high-quality, autonomous nursing care across emergency, acute, and aged care settings.
- Apply a Health Equity lens to all clinical assessments and care planning for a predominately Indigenous community.
- Actively contribute to a workplace culture that is culturally safe and free from discrimination.
- Lead quality improvement activities and clinical portfolios that align with Closing the Gap targets.
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary care teams and mentor junior staff to ensure seamless patient journeys.
About you:
- You are a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and a passion for First Nations health equity.
- You possess the clinical agility and skills required for rural and remote nursing practice.
- You are a champion for cultural safety, with the ability to build trust and rapport within an Aboriginal community.
- You demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and thrive in a collaborative, community-first environment.
- You are committed to continuous professional growth and the delivery of improved standards of care.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $127,861 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $42.09 - $56.51 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
