What your day could look like
As an Advanced Allied Health Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting recovery, independence, and quality of life for patients across rehabilitation and stroke services. Working closely with allied health professionals, you'll help translate clinical plans into meaningful progress for patients, while strengthening the capability of the broader assistant workforce.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Delivering high‑quality, delegated clinical support that helps patients achieve their rehabilitation goals
- Coordinating and guiding allied health assistant activities so care is delivered safely, efficiently, and consistently
- Supporting quality improvements that enhance how services are delivered across teams
- Acting as a trusted resource and mentor, building confidence and capability in others
Let's Talk About You
You're someone who brings both heart and capability to your work. You take pride in helping people recover, grow, and regain independence, while also lifting those around you. You're confident working within scope, comfortable coordinating others, and motivated by making care better every day. You value compassion, act with integrity, respect dignity, embrace innovation, and show courage in stepping forward when leadership is needed.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- A recognised qualification in allied health assistance, with experience supporting clinical care
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams
- Confidence managing your workload and supporting others to succeed
You'll stand out if you have experience mentoring or supporting other assistants, or contributing to service improvement initiatives.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone passionate about helping people recover well and committed to making a positive impact in regional healthcare. This role is about meaningful contribution, shared purpose, and living our values through everyday actions.
