Director
Investment and Partnerships; Region - South East; Service Delivery - Child and Family; Ipswich/Toowoomba/Beenleigh
As a key leader, you will provide strategic leadership through stewardship to drive innovative partnerships and investment strategies that enhance the delivery of departmental investment reform, including for placement services, within your region. Reporting to the Executive Director, Commissioning, you will oversee regionally based teams responsible for investment, planning and partnerships, ensuring resources are directed towards impactful initiatives, service delivery models and integration that achieve sustainable outcomes. A key focus of your role will be strengthening and shaping the broader service system to ensure it remains cohesive, responsive, and effective in meeting the needs of all children, young people, men, women and families.

Your responsibilities
As Director, Child and Family, Investment, Planning and Partnerships you will:
- Provide strategic leadership and stewardship ensuring the effective delivery of services in the service system to meet the diverse needs of children, young people, men, women and families.
- Drive reform activities and strengthen partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders, including working across government, to deliver high-quality, cost effective and integrated services that achieve the best outcomes for children and young people, men, women and families.
- Provide advice to the Leadership Team and senior management on the quality, range and effectiveness of investment strategies, contract management and partnership opportunities.
- Shape and implement innovative strategies and programs that align with departmental priorities, delivering a sustainable, client-focused, and culturally strong service system.
- Manage human, financial, and physical resources to ensure culturally safe, inclusive workplaces, enhanced staff capability, accountability, and optimised regional service delivery, including direct supervision of staff, subject to operational needs.
- Where necessary, exercise delegations under the Child Protection Act 1999 (Qld) and provide advice to the regional team in relation to complex child protection matters.
- Champion culturally informed practices by engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Organisations, children, and families, stakeholders and communities, embedding cultural integrity in all aspects of service delivery.
- Promote excellence in client service delivery, contract management, and performance management while fostering a culture of professionalism, ethics, business acumen and teamwork.
- Actively contribute as a member of the Leadership Team by ensuring sound governance, robust systems, clear roles and responsibilities, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Delegations
- The Director, Child and Family (Investment, Planning and Partnerships) exercises delegations under the Child Protection Act 1999 and holds relevant financial and human resource delegations.
Your mandatory requirements
- It is mandatory to hold a Blue Card administered by Blue Card Services.
- Possession of a “C” class driver's licence.
- Must be able to travel.
