About the role
This is a temporary part‑time opportunity to provide an efficient, accurate and professional administrative service within the Cardiology Program at The Prince Charles Hospital. The role focuses on the timely delivery of high‑quality medical transcription and typing services for specialist clinicians, while also providing a range of general administrative support functions. Working as part of a collaborative administrative team, you will assist with patient appointment coordination, record maintenance, correspondence management and general enquiries, contributing to the smooth operation of the program and the delivery of high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide medical typing and transcription support to the staff specialists. Make corrections and/or alterations to typed correspondence as required and assist with other typing and administrative support functions as required.
- Communicate with medical and other staff to ensure delivery of the dictated transcripts within prescribed time requirements.
- To provide administrative support to clinical nurses within the Cardiology program - booking appointments, rescheduling existing appointment with patients directly, filing, updating patient information on HBCIS and other databases as required and referral processing as directed.
- To assist with the minute taking of various meetings within the Cardiology Program
