We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $79,051 to $116,189 p.a. (HP3)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity

The Department of Dietetics and Nutrition is responsible for providing a comprehensive dietetic service to patients of the Townsville University Hospital and the Townsville Hospital and Health Service including Palm Island, North Ward renal satellite unit and surrounding areas of North Queensland (via outreach renal services). An outreach service is also supplied to Charters Towers including The Charters Towers Hospital, Eventide Nursing Home and Charters Towers Rehabilitation Unit.

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics and hold the Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) credential.
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle, as the position may be required to travel for outreach purposes.  
  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Check: As a Health Care worker in Queensland Health who engages in risk-assessed roles, you must hold a current disability check (Yellow Card or Yellow Card Exemption) or an NDIS worker screening check.
  • Blue Card Checks: Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a ‘working with children check' from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position.
