Clinical Audit Assurance and Improvement Manager

The position of CYMHS Clinical Audit, Assurance and Improvement Manager drives clinical governance and patient safety across Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS). The role will: • develop and have oversight of quality assurance, audit programs and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHSS); • promote evidence-based practice, professional accountability and consumer partnership, with a focus on comprehensive care and effective communication; • ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policy requirements, supporting CYMHS in delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care through structured audits and assurance frameworks.

About the Team
The Integrated Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) provides complex secondary and tertiary level health care. CYMHS offers specialised mental health services for families with children and young people (birth to 18 years) who experience severe and complex mental health problems, and where their needs cannot be met by other services. CYMHS provides a comprehensive, recovery-orientated mental healthcare service that aims to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people and their carer networks. Recovery principles are embedded into service delivery, culture and practice, providing consumers and their families, in collaboration with other services, access and referral to a range of programs that will support and sustain recovery. CYMHS combines hospital and community-based facilities to provide free consultation, assessment and treatment of children and young people experiencing serious mental health disorders and problems with their carer network.
About the Role
In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will be to:
