Your new role:

The purpose of the Clinical Lead is to spearhead the strategic planning and coordination of their respective Clinical Network, driving improvements in patient care and outcomes. They will foster collaboration across the health service, ensuring integrated and efficient service delivery. Additionally, the Clinical Lead will play a pivotal role in aligning the Network's initiatives with overarching health priorities and governance frameworks, enhancing operational efficiency and workforce planning.

About you:

  • Leadership: Provide strong leadership to drive the development and implementation of the Clinical Networks, ensuring sustainable outcomes in patient care and service delivery.
  • Clinical Service Planning: Drive the clinical service planning process, aligning Network objectives with the broader Metro South Health Strategic Plan, Health Service Plan and the Queensland Health Outcomes Framework.
  • Collaboration and Integration: Facilitate collaboration across specialties, promoting an integrated approach to health service delivery.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Champion continuous improvement and innovation in clinical practices, enhancing efficiency and patient outcomes.
  • Governance and Accountability: Ensure the Clinical Network operates within established governance frameworks, maintaining compliance, transparency, and accountability.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders, including clinicians, patients, and external partners, to build a cohesive and supportive network community.
  • Change Management: Lead change management efforts to adapt to evolving healthcare environments, regulatory requirements, and organisational goals.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement effective performance monitoring and reporting mechanisms to track progress and outcomes.

Metro South Health is continuing its transformative Clinical Network program, with six Clinical Networks now established and endorsed as an enduring model to support integrated, system-wide care. We are seeking a dynamic, visionary, and highly motivated Clinical Lead to establish and lead the Women's and Children's Clinical Network, building on the strong foundations of the existing networks and further strengthening coordinated, patient-centred care across Metro South Health

The Clinical Networks bring together multidisciplinary health professionals from across Metro South Health to provide strategic clinical direction and coordination with the aim to enhance health service planning and the delivery of clinical services that are provided across the health service
