We're excited to welcome a Principal Data Analyst – Scientific Analysis, who performs applied analytical investigations to inform operational and clinical decision-making across Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.
The role works with clinicians, managers and executives to clarify problems, translate them into structured analytical approaches, and deliver evidence-based findings that support action.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Engage with clinicians, managers and stakeholders to clarify operational and clinical problems and translate them into structured analytical approaches and work plans, for example understanding drivers of overcrowding, delays to discharge or variation in care pathways.
- Plan and lead defined analytical work packages and small projects, managing scope, timelines and deliverables within a busy operational environment.
- Undertake complex data extraction, preparation and analysis using SQL and analytical programming languages such as R or Python.
Remuneration value up to $171,568 p.a., comprising salary between $140,115 - $150,371 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (iAO7).
