The Office of the Director-General (ODG) supports the Director-General to lead the department to deliver high quality sustainable services, programs, policy and corporate objectives that align with the priorities and policies of the Government of the day.
The ODG is a fast-paced, high-volume environment that provides high-level strategic and operational advice and executive services to the Director-General and the Department. The ODG maintains and facilitates high-level communication and liaison with the Minister’s Office, other Government departments and agencies, and private sector organisations.

As the Principal Coordinator, you will:
• Coordinate executive support services for the ODG including leadership and line management of the executive support team.
• Oversight and responsibility of several high-volume executive inboxes, triaging correspondence and appropriate referrals and actions including follow-up across the department.
• Monitor and manage ODG executive workflows to support timely and accurate delivery of executive papers, briefings and management of Senior Executive diaries.
• Liaise and negotiate across divisions on a range of issues to ensure whole-ofdepartment outcomes are achieved.
• Develop positive, effective working relationships across the department to build executive support services collective capability, drive cultural change and foster innovation.
• Operate as a central coordination point for executive communication and workflow within the ODG, supporting the Executive Director in a fast-paced and highvolume environment.
• Provide governance advice and oversight including compliance with Government legislative, policy and procedural requirements in support of the Director-General's reporting and assurance obligations.
• Undertake ad-hoc projects and tasks, as required, consistent with the functions, responsibilities and classification of the position.

Qualifications:
There are no mandatory qualifications required for this role. However, experience in a similar role would be highly regarded.
