Teacher Aide - Kirwan State High School

Kirwan State High School is seeking a proactive and safety-focused Teacher Aide, Manual Arts to support the delivery of Industrial Technology and Design (ITD) programs.
In this role, you will assist in maintaining a secure, well-organised workshop environment, prepare timber and metal materials, and support students and staff during practical lessons while ensuring compliance with workplace
health and safety standards.
This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.79FTE), 60 hours per fortnight.

About the Role
As a Teacher Aide, you will:
- Prepare workshops and classrooms for practical lessons
- Manage equipment, materials, and stock, including ordering and inventory control
- Set up, operate, and maintain tools, machinery, and workshop spaces
- Assist teachers with classes and practical demonstrations
- Support basic workshop tasks, including simple fabrication and maintenance
- Ensure a safe, clean, and well-organised working environment
- Receive, store, and manage deliveries of equipment and materials
- Assist with stocktakes and resource organisation
- Maintain departmental records, safety documentation, and registers
