What you will be doing:
• Conduct the analysis of large and often complex datasets, including historical comparisons and trend analysis, to investigate, interpret and evaluate data findings to support departmental strategies and influence key decisions.
• Design and develop comprehensive, high-quality reports and data dashboards in Excel and Power BI, applying subject matter expertise to ensure outputs are accurate, timely and suitable for consideration by the leadership team.
• Coordinate and oversee the allocation of data-related tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion.
• Manage and administer information systems, confidential datasets and SharePoint-based platforms, exercising initiative to identify issues, recommend improvements and maintain data integrity to ensure quality information is delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
• Prepare complex correspondence, performance reports, briefing notes and submissions, applying sound judgement to synthesise data insights and ensure outputs are accurate, well-reasoned, and suitable for consideration by the leadership team.
• Undertake research tasks, project work and data analysis to assist in the development and review of a range of high-quality written material including insight reports, practice guides and presentations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data systems, reporting frameworks, and business processes within the Sector Services, including developing and maintaining process documentation and user guides to build team capability and support consistent work practices.
• Establish and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders through a consultative approach, including partnering with external stakeholders and monitoring progress of joint deliverables.
• Work actively in multi-disciplinary, dynamic teams across service areas, applying subject matter expertise to contribute to shared program outcomes.
• Ensure workplace safety policies and practices are applied consistently as part of day-to-day operations, contributing to a positive safety culture across the work unit.

The desired skills for this role are as follows:
• DAAN Data Analytics Level 3
• DATM Data Management Level 3
• VISL Data Visualisation Level 3
• BINT Business Intelligence Level 3.
