The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is seeking a proactive AO3 Operations Support Officer to join the Regional Operations team in Toowoomba.

This permanent full-time role involves delivering frontline customer service, administering the School Transport Assistance Scheme (STAS), monitoring service contracts & ensuring compliance with legislative guidelines.
You’ll work as part of a small team, liaising with stakeholders to support efficient operations & contribute to TMR’s vision of connected, sustainable communities. You will have strong communication, teamwork & organisational skills are essential, along with a current C class driver licence and the ability to travel within Queensland. The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented AO3 Operations Support Officer to join the Regional Operations team in Toowoomba. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary, superannuation and leave loading benefits.

As an Operations Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the efficient operations of the Passenger Transport unit. Working as part of a small team, you will liaise with a range of stakeholders to deliver high-quality customer service and ensure the smooth delivery of transport services in the region.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Providing frontline customer service by investigating complaints and offering advice to customers and stakeholders.
Administering the School Transport Assistance Scheme (STAS) and other passenger transport products.
Assisting with monitoring the performance of service contracts and accreditations.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of procedural and legislative guidelines to ensure compliance.
Supporting the team in achieving operational goals and delivering on TMR's vision of connected, sustainable, and thriving communities.

This role requires a current C class driver licence and the ability to undertake frequent intra-state travel. As the position involves access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be conducted prior to appointment.
