The AO5 Senior Project Officer supports the Client Engagement team within Spatial Information, Georesources. Based at any Queensland location where departmental offices are available, this full time temporary role assists in the delivery of Spatial Information client engagement activities promoting spatial information products and services.

The Georesources division capitalises on Queensland’s minerals, coal, petroleum and gas resources. Mining is the number one wealth generating sector in the state and the work done in this division plays a key role in regulating the resources sector, while also supporting industry development and sector growth. As a Senior Project Officer (AO5) in the Client Engagement Team within Spatial Information, Georesources, you will support how customers engage with and adopt spatial information products and services. Working across business units and teams, the role contributes to clear, practical and accessible communication activities that support customer understanding and service delivery.

In this role, you will assist with coordinating and implementing communication and engagement initiatives and spatial information deliverables. Your work will include developing, approving and publishing communication materials, writing content for various purposes, channels and audiences, assist producing visual and video content, supporting events and other communication and engagement activities. You will collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders, establish effective working relationships across teams, document and compile stakeholder feedback, and identify innovative ways customers are using spatial information to inform continuous improvement.

Success in this role looks like delivering high quality communication materials on time, managing multiple tasks effectively, communicating clearly with diverse audiences, working as a collaborative positive team member, and contributing reliable support to communication and engagement strategies and projects that enhance customer experience and uptake of spatial information services.
