Your new role:
As the Travel Services Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Travel Services Unit, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective travel support for patients and staff. You'll play a key role in managing systems, leading staff, and maintaining compliance with health travel policies while driving continuous improvement.
You will;
- Lead and coordinate patient and staff travel processes, ensuring compliance with Department of Health policies
- Supervise Travel Officers and manage resources to meet budget and service delivery targets
- Provide expert advice on travel options, systems, and complex requests across the organisation
- Drive service improvements, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, including participation in state-wide networks

You are an organised and proactive professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality service. You bring both technical expertise and the ability to build strong relationships across a complex organisation.
You will have,
- Proven experience supervising staff and coordinating operational services
- Strong customer focus with the ability to manage complex requests and resolve issues effectively
- Advanced skills in travel systems or similar technical platforms, with high attention to detail
- Excellent planning, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement abilities

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
