About the role
Permanent full-time opportunity to provide authoritative clinical and operational leadership, applying expert-level knowledge in respiratory and sleep science to optimise patient care, workforce capability and service performance.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Direct and be professionally accountable for the delivery, governance and strategic advancement of respiratory and sleep clinical measurement services across multidisciplinary teams, providing authoritative, expert-level clinical and consultancy advice to support high-quality, evidence-based care at hospital, health service and state-wide levels.
- Lead and provide authoritative strategic advice regarding service planning, redesign, workforce capability and clinical governance through active membership of the Thoracic Medicine Management Advisory Group and other relevant executive and multidisciplinary governance forums.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership of the Respiratory and Sleep Investigations Unit, with whole-of-service accountability for performance, workforce, quality, activity, governance and sustainability, ensuring safe, effective and future-focused service delivery across all service locations.
- Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of service improvement initiatives, programs and policies (including student and staff education and research), ensuring effective translation of evidence and innovation into clinical practice across respiratory and sleep services.
