Your new role:
As the Senior Director Support Officer, you will act as a trusted partner to the Service Line Director, delivering high-level executive, administrative, and operational support within a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient functioning of the Director's office, enabling strategic priorities to be executed effectively across the Internal Medicine Service Line.
You will operate with a high degree of independence, exercising sound judgement, discretion, and initiative while engaging with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering confidential executive and administrative support, including diary management, correspondence, and document preparation
- Managing and prioritising incoming communications, drafting high-quality responses aligned with corporate standards
- Coordinating executive and departmental meetings, including agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions
- Supervising and supporting administrative staff, including workload delegation and guidance

You are a highly capable and experienced executive support professional who thrives in a complex, fast-paced environment. You bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
You are an exceptional communicator and relationship builder, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels while maintaining discretion and confidentiality. You will demonstrate:
- Advanced administrative and executive support skills, with strong knowledge of office systems and procedures
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, multitask, and meet tight deadlines
- High-level communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills tailored to diverse audiences
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality documentation

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
