We are looking for a Credentialing and Scope of Clinical Practice Officer who will to develop, maintain and implement a range of credentialing and scope of clinical practice (SoCP) processes and systems which support the responsibilities and functions of the credentialing committees led by the Office of Rural and Remote Health (ORRH). This is a part-time opportunity of 38 hours per fortnight, based in Cairns, Townsville or Brisbane.
What you'll do
As a Credentialing and Scope of Clinical Practice Officer, you will provide high‑quality coordination, decision support and expert advice on all credentialing and Scope of Clinical Practice (SoCP) processes, supporting credentialing officers, key staff, and relevant external agencies. You will deliver secretariat and governance support to ORRH‑led Credentialing Committees, including preparing agendas, minutes and correspondence, ensuring the quality, accuracy and completeness of information presented, and actioning committee outcomes. You will review credentialing applications for compliance with relevant governance requirements, policies, directives and national standards, while maintaining accurate, secure and well‑structured credentialing and SoCP records and databases to support effective decision‑making, auditability and patient safety.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Strong research, analysis and communication skills, with the ability to provide high‑quality advice and guidance to senior management across complex stakeholder environments.
- Demonstrated knowledge, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge, of credentialing and Scope of Clinical Practice (SoCP) policies, standards and guidelines.
- Well‑developed interpersonal, collaboration and negotiation skills, enabling effective teamwork and strong working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including clinicians, regulatory bodies and executive leaders.
