Narangba Valley State High School is seeking a Schools Officer, Facilities to work in our ITD space. You will collaborate with the Head of Department to support teachers and students in this department.
This position is offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.80FTE), 58 hours per fortnight for 4 days per week - Monday to Thursday.

About the Role
The Schools Officer, Facilities for the ITD Department will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the department, supporting teachers and students in their learning activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Receiving all deliveries for ITD, including the Trade Training Centre (TTC)
- Managing storerooms and stock control, including consumables
- Preparing materials such as wood, acrylic, aluminium, steel, and sheet metal for class projects
- Maintaining and sharpening hand tools, as well as servicing and repairing machinery
- Supporting the Schools Facility Officer as directed by the Business Manager
About You
The following traits would be beneficial:
- Experience in managing storerooms and stock control
- Proficiency in handling and preparing materials for projects
- Knowledge of machinery maintenance and safe operating procedures
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a school environment

Progressional roles show a salary range spanning two classifications. Appointment will be made at the level appropriate to skill and fulfilment of required criteria.
