We are seeking a highly motivated and capable senior registrar or equivalent to join the Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Unit as an unaccredited MFM Fellow. The primary focus of this role is to provide advanced clinical, ultrasound, and research experience in a high-volume tertiary referral centre.

The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Fellows (Unaccredited – Maternal Fetal Medicine) or Registrars (Advanced Trainee - Maternal Fetal Medicine) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Manage complex obstetric patients, including maternal medical conditions, fetal growth restriction, multiple pregnancy, and hypertensive disorders
- Undertake ultrasound sessions including third trimester fetal wellbeing assessment, Doppler studies, and cervical length assessment
- Contribute to clinical studies, data collection, and manuscript preparation
- Support the teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and students
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Tertiary degree in Medicine/Surgery or equivalent recognised qualification registrable with the Medical Board of Australia
- AHPRA Registration
- Completion of the RANZCOG Integrated Training Program having passed both FRANZCOG exams
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (up to 12 months with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $134 489 - $155 125 per annum

The Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit is currently recruiting for one trainee and can offer a comprehensive one-year training program in obstetric ultrasound and maternal fetal medicine with a large multi-professional team of specialists, midwives, and sonographers with the latest in ultrasound technology.
