About us:

Central Queensland Renal Services, part of the Division of Medicine, supports a broad regional catchment from Longreach through to Gladstone and surrounding communities. The Rockhampton Community Dialysis Centre plays a central role, delivering satellite haemodialysis for suitable low-complexity patients, alongside education, training, and ongoing support for home haemodialysis, self-care dialysis, and peritoneal dialysis.

Working within a hub-and-spoke model led by Rockhampton Hospital, the service connects and supports multiple facilities across Central Queensland and Central West, helping patients access specialised renal care closer to where they live.

About the role:

  • Have experience or be able to quickly acquire an in depth understanding of the operational scope of the Rockhampton Hospital Renal Service and the information systems which support its day-to-day operation across multiple geographical sites. 
  • Exercise judgment and discretion in undertaking various tasks, being responsible for the quality of work undertaken, prioritising workload effectively, and performing duties responsibly within the team or in the absence of supervision. 
  • Make use of available information systems, recognising decision making in clinical and management settings depends on accurate, timely, relevant, complete, concise and readily accessible information. 
  • Perform a support role to medical and nursing staff within the departments by assisting with the preparation and completion of a range of documentation and administrative duties, including face to face and phone reception/customer service, filing, audit and transport of patient records as required.  

About you:

  • This role will require you to carry out the physical aspects of the role requirements in regard to lifting, bending, squatting, ladders, and use of trolleys for the purpose of filing and chart transport across the facility as detailed in the Task Analysis.
  • Proficiency in the application of computerised information systems and applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. 
  • Well-developed administrative skills to provide an administrative support function to a multidisciplinary team within a hospital environment. 
  • Sound communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and sensitively, with all levels of staff, patients and the general public. 

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $8,382 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $39.98 - $44.46 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
