What your day could look like
As a Radiographer, you'll play a vital role in supporting patients, clinicians and the wider community by delivering safe, accurate and timely imaging services. From emergency presentations to planned procedures, your work directly informs care decisions and improves patient outcomes. You'll be part of a close‑knit team where collaboration, trust and adaptability are part of everyday practice.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Delivering high‑quality general, emergency and procedural imaging that supports confident clinical decision‑making
- Working collaboratively with doctors, nurses and fellow radiographers to provide seamless patient care
- Managing competing priorities across a varied caseload while maintaining high clinical and safety standards
- Contributing ideas and improvements that strengthen service quality, consistency and patient experience
Let's Talk About You
You bring both technical capability and genuine care to your work. You value teamwork, take pride in high standards, and understand the difference timely, respectful imaging makes to a person's healthcare journey. You're comfortable working across a range of clinical situations, including after‑hours care, and you approach your role with compassion, integrity and courage. Most of all, you want your work to matter to the people and community you serve.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Current registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with authority to practise in Queensland
- A recognised qualification in diagnostic radiography and a commitment to safe, ethical practice
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work calmly within a multidisciplinary team
- A proactive mindset, with willingness to learn, adapt and contribute to service improvement
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in rural or regional settings and/or a passion for supporting students or less‑experienced colleagues.
Above all, you'll bring the values we live by at Darling Downs Health: compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage—using your skills to deliver care that truly makes a difference.
