Your Opportunity:
- Provide high level strategic advice, analysis and support to the Executive Principal and the executive management team in relation to financial and business planning, budgeting and development, human resource management, facility, system and asset management.
- Lead, facilitate and manage the strategic operations of the school to ensure that the day to day financial, physical and human resource aspects of the school's operations are managed professionally to align with departmental priorities.
- Analyse systems and processes to ensure the financial integrity of business operations and research potential business opportunities.
About the Role:
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and undertaking the following key tasks:
- Develop, implement and review strategies that enhance the performance and capability of the school to ensure business planning objectives and departmental priorities are achieved.
- Lead and direct the commercial operations and marketing strategies of the school to support the delivery of high quality outcomes including identifying and critically analysing potential business opportunities for potential business development.
- Lead the development of the school budget and effectively analyse and report on financial performance against agreed objectives.
- Lead the planning, development, implementation, ongoing management and evaluation of significant facilities projects ensuring compliance with governance and reporting requirements.
- Oversee project teams and undertake planning, analysis, development and evaluation of significant projects to ensure achievement of strategic initiatives and objectives that inform the future position of the school.
- Strategically lead non-teaching staff and resources at the school to deliver outcomes and provide high level support to the school and community.
- Lead the provision of advice and support services for a diverse range of human resource management practices, contractual procurement, purchases and project management.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of assets, facilities, buildings and public areas in line with the workplace health and safety standards and risk management requirements associated with these activities.
- Critically analyse, review and refine monitoring and reporting systems and business processes in line with continuous improvement practices to ensure the ongoing alignment with changing business or policy requirements.
- Build and sustain relationships with key partners, parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and businesses to ensure strategic alignment with learning outcomes for all students.
It would be highly desirable to have the following skills and experience:
- Proven ability to provide leadership and strategic direction to deliver innovative business services within a multidisciplinary environment and influence executive decision making.
- Proven financial management and planning skills to develop and deliver cost effective services to support a range of business activities.
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively lead, manage, develop and foster an effective work team to deliver high quality services that facilitate the achievement of departmental goals.
- Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects through initiative, action, energy and drive ensuring goals are achieved.
- Highly developed communication, consultation and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of people whilst exercising discretion in handling sensitive and confidential matters.
