About us:
The Theodore Multipurpose Health Service located 229km southwest of Rockhampton, is part of the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. Theodore is situated on the Leichhardt Highway between the junction of Castle Creek and the Dawson River.
The Theodore Multipurpose Health Service is a 10-bed facility that provides a range of health serviced to the community, including emergency, inpatients and outpatients, residential aged care and telehealth services.
About the role:
- General preparation of the patient's dietary requirements, in accordance with daily menus, Food Safety Standards, dietician recommendations and individual likes and dislikes.
- Operate and maintain all laundry equipment including appropriate chemical use as per manufacturer's instructions and report any equipment malfunctioning to the Supervisor or Delegate.
- Provide yard maintenance services as required to ensure that all lawns and garden areas are maintained to a high standard, including edges and lawns being mowed regularly, weeds sprayed or removed, and watering of grass to sustain growth and appearance.
- Assist the clinician to prepare patients for bathing, toileting and other personal hygiene requirements of patients as required and under direction from the Supervisor or delegate.
About you:
- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in Food Safety Standards would be well regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to operate within a multi-skilled team environment who provide a strong focus on customer service.
- Demonstrate basic self-management skills, including time managements, ability to organise and prioritise tasks, problem solve to assist with completing duties/tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
- An understanding of organisational policies, including values and goals and the ability to adhere to and follow set instructions that include Workplace Health and Safety, relevant industry standards/codes of practise for the best outcomes for the consumers/clients of the facility.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $77,671 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $32.18 - $34.44 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
