About the role
Permanent part-time opportunity to operate as a member of a multidisciplinary mental health team with a focus on planning and providing interventions within a therapeutic recovery framework.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Deliver high‑level Social Work clinical services in accordance with AASW Professional Practice Standards, HP4 Clinical and Non‑Clinical Capability Statements and Metro North Health values, including comprehensive biopsychosocial, mental state and risk assessments, formulation, and brief, evidence‑based interventions within Recovery‑oriented and Trauma‑Informed models of care
- Work collaboratively with key partners and stakeholders, including Emergency Services, NGO's and other organisations, to influence health service outcomes and support improvements to clinical and organisational work practices through effective liaison, formal partnerships, memoranda of understanding or protcols and ongoing engagement
- Lead and contribute to innovation, change initiatives and service development activities within the Acute Care Team to address emerging mental health crisis intervention needs; contribute to the development and delivery of training for external services; provide policy advice on professional and clinical practice; and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, procedures, policies and standards.
