Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $87.25 to $131.61 p.h. part-time (L13 - L27)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Attraction and retention incentive allowance (50% base salary)
  • Motor vehicle allowance between $21,000 and $25,500 p.a.
  • Professional development allowance of $21,500 p.a. + 3.6 weeks p.a. leave
  • Inaccessibility allowance of $6,900 p.a.
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity:

The role of the Senior Medical Officer (SMO) is to provide high quality emergency services and clinical support for patients attending MIHS predominantly on weekends. Successful applicants would provide Saturday medical services at MIHS and Sunday on-call services to the Magnetic Island Health Service. Occasionally, the SMO may be requested to assist with weekday cover or leave cover.

This is a fixed term temporary part-time role, working 10 hours per fortnight (weekends only).

Requirements:

  • Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration (if applicable).
  • Enter other requirements, e.g., Drivers Licence or desirable quals etc.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
