Your Opportunity
As the Administration Officer, Construction Tech you will:
- Contribute to the achievement of Centre of Excellence Strategic and Operational objectives as directed by Manager, Centre of Excellence.
This position reports to the Manager, Centre of Excellence.
This is a Temporary, Full-Time opportunity, to 31 December 2028 unless otherwise determined.
The primary location for this position is flexible, however you may be required to perform work at any TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake specific administrative activities as allocated by the Manager, Centre of Excellence.
- Assist in the conduct of research on issues associated with the Centre of Excellence including the collection, collation and analysis of information.
- Undertake all administrative tasks associated with the Centre of Excellence ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, planning documentation and other written correspondence utilising a range of computer software packages.
- Establish and maintain a quality record system to meet requests for information and for statistical and planning purposes.
- Liaise with internal and/or external clients to identify the requirements of the Centre of Excellence including the maintenance of effective communication links with management through the provision of regular reports and feedback on progress of objectives.
- Maintain an awareness of legislative and other parameters within which the Centre of Excellence is to be undertaken.
- Contribute to the preparation of recommendations and strategies to facilitate the implementation of the Centre of Excellence.
- Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the values of Safety First, Working Together, Focusing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.
How you will be assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
- Possess ability to analyse issues and develop appropriate action strategies within the parameters of relevant public sector legislation.
- Demonstrate ability to achieve results in an environment of strict deadlines and limited direct supervision.
- Possess well developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise, consult and negotiate with a broad range of client groups within the private and public sectors.
- Possess knowledge of and skill in the application and utilisation of a range of computer software packages (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet and database packages), and basic understanding of quality assurance and human resource management issues including occupational health and safety, equal opportunity and anti-discrimination as applied in a working environment.
- Possess well developed written communication skills as evidenced by the ability to prepare and present reports and submissions.
