About the Role:

The Marketing and Events Officer plays a key role in promoting Runcorn State High School and strengthening our connection with students, families and the wider community. The role is responsible for coordinating school events, managing digital platforms, and producing engaging content that highlights student success, school culture and key initiatives. Working closely with school leadership and staff, you will ensure communications are professional, timely and aligned with the school's brand and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and support a range of school events, including ceremonies, information sessions and community activities.
  • Manage and update the school website, including news articles and calendar content.
  • Maintain and grow the school's social media presence across Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
  • Support marketing and enrolment campaigns through creative digital and print content.
  • Capture and manage promotional photos and videos for use across school platforms.
  • Maintain accurate student photo records in OneSchool and IDAttend.
  • Ensure documents and materials meet school branding and design standards.
  • Monitor and manage enquiry communications and support positive community engagement.

Skills and Experience Must have:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence using digital platforms, websites and social media channels.
  • Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build positive working relationships.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in marketing, communications, events or a school environment.
  • Skills in photography, video recording and basic editing.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and design tools.
