Role details
The Digital Health Solutions team at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse (Digital Change and Learning) to join their team on a temproary basis.

Your opportunity
- The Clinical Nurse Digital Change and Learning understands eHealth / clinical information systems and can ensure staff within MHHS effectively and efficiently utilise existing and emerging solutions and devices within MHHS.
- The role will be accountable for the identification of business improvements and changes, consultation, and negotiation necessary to implement successful change. The successful applicant will have the ability to analyse and understand business problems to make either solution and/or workflow recommendations to meet the organisation needs.
- The role will support clinical areas that are a part of MHHS in the identification of continuous improvement for safety and quality opportunity utilising technology and informatics. This role provides you the opportunity to develop skills in training development and delivery, workflow optimisation, change management and advocacy for MHHS at a statewide level in the digital specialty group. This will ensure that the health service delivers the proven improvements in quality of care, patient safety and benefits realisation.
- In addition, the role will lead and deliver training and system adoption activities at an advanced level to clinical and non-clinical multidisciplinary staff. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining change and training material as well as ensuring successful delivery of training and business readiness activities as assigned to a multidisciplinary team or service area.
About the Team
The Digital Hospital Solutions team supports the state-wide Integrated Electronic Medical Record (ieMR) solution and offers opportunity to be involved in training delivery and system adoption, as well as change management and process redesign. The functionality of ieMR at this HHS includes Medication Management, Anaesthetics, SurgiNet, FirstNet, Care Delivery, Renal and Powerchart Maternity solutions and includes device integration for ECG and CTG.
