About the role
The Administration Officer plays a key role in ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day functioning of the Hospital in the Home service by providing responsive, accurate and well‑coordinated administrative support. Working in a fast‑paced clinical environment, the role supports multidisciplinary teams by managing administrative workflows, maintaining high‑quality records, and facilitating effective communication between clinicians, patients and external stakeholders.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Use high level communication skills both verbal and written to communicate clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings ensuring accuracy and formatting in line with expected standards.
- Provide confidential administrative support including the production of high-quality documents and records.
- Effective time management with the ability to balance priorities and work on multiple tasks, getting work done in an effective and efficient manner and communicating early if there are circumstances that will prevent from meeting deadlines.
- Possess the skills to use a range of technology and the ability to quickly learn various computer programs used throughout Queensland Health.
- Comply with policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines relevant to the position, including human resource management, workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination policies.
