About the role

At Yellagundgimarra Hospital Doomadgee, you will play a pivotal role in delivering expert clinical care and professional leadership across emergency presentations, inpatient care, and complex client needs in a remote healthcare setting.

  • Provide advanced, autonomous clinical care and leadership across emergency, acute, and complex patient presentations, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and person‑centred care.
  • Lead and support nursing teams, including coordination of shifts, supervision, delegation, mentoring, and acting in the Nurse Grade 7 role when required.
  • Deliver culturally responsive and safe care, working collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers and community members.

Requirements

      • Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
      • C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
      • Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
      • This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
      • A period of probation may apply.
