Your new role:
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant – Cancer Care and Day Therapy Services, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and specialist nursing expertise across Oncology, Haematology and Medical Day Therapies, supporting safe, high-quality and person-centred care through collaboration, innovation and evidence-based practice by:
- Delivering advanced clinical nursing care and consultancy across Cancer Care and Day Therapy Services
- Leading and supporting safe, evidence-based clinical practice and patient-centred care initiatives
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Providing mentoring, education and clinical support to nursing staff and healthcare teams
- Supporting quality improvement, clinical governance and service development activities
- Contributing to research, innovation and continuous improvement within Oncology and Day Therapy services
- Driving excellence in patient care through advanced clinical judgement, leadership and decision-making
- Supporting the transition and integration of Cancer Day Therapy and Day Therapy services as part of Logan Hospital's ongoing expansion
About you:
You are a compassionate and experienced nursing leader with advanced Oncology and/or Haematology nursing expertise, strong clinical judgement and a passion for delivering exceptional patient-centred care with:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
- Advanced clinical experience within Oncology, Haematology and/or Medical Day Therapy nursing
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
- Strong communication, mentoring and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement and patient safety
- Experience supporting education, workforce development and clinical capability building
- Highly developed critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant specialty area, or current enrolment, highly regarded

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
