We are seeking Clinical Nurses (SAFEST Discharge) to join the Patient Flow and Emergency team and play a vital role in improving patient outcomes and hospital flow. In this dynamic position, you will support timely interventions, advance discharge planning and minimise delays to patient flow, maximising Emergency Department access. Your opportunity:
- To provide expert, patient‑centred clinical care within the inpatient areas of the Bundaberg Hospital as part of the SAFEST Medicine Patient Flow Team, supporting the delivery of high‑quality, cost‑effective nursing services aligned with contemporary standards and evidence‑informed practice.
- The Clinical Nurse (CN) will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to rapidly assess, plan and care for patients transitioning through our Emergency Department, Transit Hub, Medical Clinical Decision Unit to our inpatient areas. The CN will support timely interventions, advance discharge planning and minimise delays to patient flow, maximising Emergency Department access and reducing avoidable inpatient admissions.
Permanent Full Time (76 hours p.f.) and Permanent Part Time Positions (hours negotiable).

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $139,252 p.a., comprising salary between $113,979 - $122,048 p.a. (f/t) or salary between $57.48 - $61.55 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f., and Permanent Part Time Positions, hours negotiable) (Applications will remain current for 12 months).
