Who We Are:

Crescent Lagoon State School is a welcoming primary school in Rockhampton catering for Prep to Year 6 students. Step Into Your Next Chapter:

  • Implement structured and long-term collaboration with a diverse range of external partners to drive positive outcomes for families and children to engage successfully with learning and strengthen relationships with parents and carers to facilitate improvement in student attendance, behaviour and engagement in learning.
  • Work with classroom teachers, teacher aides and specialist support staff to understand the child's needs and connect families with services, such as health, therapeutic and developmental interventions to support engagement with learning.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships and effective partnerships with students, parents, school staff, government agencies and community services and provide expert input into decision making processes to ensure optimum outcomes for children and their families.

The ideal candidate will have strong relationship-building skills, experience supporting vulnerable children and families, and the ability to collaborate with schools and multi-agency services to address complex needs.

They should also demonstrate cultural competence, proficiency in data-driven decision-making, and a commitment to inclusion, diversity, and fostering positive educational outcomes.

Important Qualities:

  • Skilled at fostering partnerships with children, families, carers, school staff, and community services.
  •  Passionate about supporting children's learning, wellbeing, and school engagement.
  • Experienced in working with vulnerable children
  • Works effectively with staff and connects families to services.
  • Identifies needs early, facilitates access to support services, and builds local school capability.
  • Uses data to implement and evaluate support measures that improve attendance, engagement, and achievement.
  • Maintains accurate records and ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Committed to fostering inclusion and valuing diverse perspectives.
