Purpose of the Role
The Principal Licensing and Compliance Officer is responsible for the administration of complex licence applications for pharmacy businesses in Queensland in accordance with legislation, delegations, policies and procedures in a ‘start up' environment. The Principal Licensing and Compliance Officer will also undertake compliance monitoring and enforcement activities, such as inspections, as part of the Council's collaborative, educative and risk-based compliance monitoring programs.
Mandatory qualifications, registrations and other requirements
While not mandatory, a qualification or relevant experience in pharmacy, law, public health, regulation, licensing or investigations would be well regarded. In addition to the experience and skills outlined, there are various mandatory requirements for the role:
- Successful applicants must have, or be able to acquire, a current driver's licence.
- From time to time, travel to regional areas is required and may involve overnight stays of up to a week.
