About the role
As a Storesperson within the Food Services team at The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH), you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliable flow of food and supply items that underpin daily patient meal services. This position focuses on the coordination, monitoring and distribution of stock, as well as supporting safe food handling practices and efficient operational outcomes.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Work under limited supervision to oversee all aspects of stock control, ordering, issuing while considering budgetary and Qld Health guidelines.
- Operate all equipment required to effectively control the store room and its supplies
- Understand and implement all aspects of stock control and rotation of stock in line with the Food Safety Plan and legislation
- Supervise the work of the Stores Assist position and delegate tasks to this position as required
- Maintain up to date records using the Finance & Materials Management Information System (FAMMIS) and the Food Safe Program records
