About the role:
Support the strategic and operational success of Caboolture Special School as Business Manager (AO6), leading finance, human resources, facilities and corporate services. As a key member of the leadership team, this role ensures effective business operations that enable high-quality educational outcomes for students with diverse learning needs. As Business Manager (AO6), you will work closely with the Principal and leadership team to deliver and manage the school's corporate services in a dynamic and complex specialist school environment. You will play a key role in ensuring resources, systems and staff are aligned to support student outcomes and school priorities. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading financial management, budgeting, monitoring and reporting
  • Managing human resources processes for school support staff, including workforce planning and recruitment
  • Overseeing facilities, asset management and maintenance coordination
  • Managing corporate systems, administration and operational processes
  • Driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with departmental policies

What we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong experience in financial and operational management
  • Proven ability to lead and support teams, including coaching and workforce planning
  • Sound knowledge of HR processes, governance and compliance requirements
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a complex environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across staff, families and stakeholders
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
