RSHQ is seeking a professional with a strong background as a government regulator to lead the newly established Regulatory Strategy Implementation team. Reporting directly to the General Manager of Regulatory Strategy, this role will be responsible for implementing regulatory practice reforms and initiatives that deliver on RSHQ's Regulatory Strategy and Regulatory Model Review recommendations.
What You Will Do
- Lead the agency's centralised regulatory practice expertise, including the development and implementation of reforms to ensure RSHQ is functioning as an effective regulator - prioritising effort on serious harms and demonstrating the outcomes from our activities.
- Provide leadership and whole-of-agency engagement, utilising your extensive experience to support RSHQ on regulatory practice and reform matters.
- Support decision-making of our operational teams and the frameworks in which they operate, while providing high quality guidance and training.
- Provide expert analysis and advice, representing the agency to a variety of audiences.
- Identify and drive improvement opportunities, including maintaining and evaluating the agency against RSHQ's Regulator Effectiveness Framework.
What You Will Need To Bring
- High level experience in leading the development and implementation of regulatory practice and reform.
- Proven ability to lead your team, to influence and direct the agency towards regulatory reform, with exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated skill in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Essential / desirable requirements
Highly desirable that you possess a degree qualification in the field of public administration or policy, law, governance, risk management or similar or relevant field from a recognised tertiary institution.
Qualifications
If your qualification is from an overseas institution, you are responsible for obtaining official recognition to determine comparability with the Australian Qualifications Framework. You will be required to provide a certified copy of your qualification assessment prior to engagement.
