Our workforce is central to delivering outcomes for Queensland. Transport and MainRoads (TMR) is seeking a manager to lead enterprise strategic workforce planning and shape future capability and talent pathways.
As Manager (Strategic Workforce Planning), you will play a key enterprise role supporting how TMR understands, plans for and invests in its workforce. Partnering with senior leaders across the organisation, you will anticipate workforce risks, identify emerging capability needs and inform decisions that strengthen organisational performance and resilience.
This role sits at the centre of TMR's people system. You will lead enterprise level strategic workforce planning and develop, implement, and embed workforce planning systems, frameworks and processes used across the business. Your focus will be on building consistency, discipline and sustainability ensuring workforce insights routinely inform planning, investment and prioritisation.
Working closely with Learning and Development and other HR partners, you will help translate workforce planning insights into clear direction for capability development, talent pathways and long-term pipeline strategies.
About you:
You are an experienced strategic workforce or capability professional who thrives in complex environments. You bring strong analytical and systems thinking, communicate clearly, build trusted partnerships and are comfortable working with ambiguity, balancing immediate workforce pressures with long term capability needs.
Why join us:
At TMR, you will work on matters that genuinely shape the organisation and its future workforce, within a values-led and inclusive workplace that supports professional growth and flexible ways of working.
