Your new role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Social Work student to build practical experience within a supportive multidisciplinary healthcare environment while continuing your university studies.
- Support Allied Health clinicians with clinical assessments, treatment tasks and patient care activities across acute and subacute hospital settings.
- Assist with discharge planning by liaising with residential aged care providers, NDIS services and internal healthcare teams.
- Work collaboratively with social workers, nursing, medical and allied health professionals to support positive patient outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing training, case conferences, quality improvement initiatives and professional development opportunities.
About you:
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Social Work student who is eager to learn and contribute within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Australian Social Work degree and have successfully completed at least your first year of study.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated empathy, professionalism and commitment to delivering patient-centred care.
- Well organised with the ability to manage administrative tasks, maintain accurate documentation and adapt to changing priorities.
