About us:

The hospital serves a population of over 8000 people and is 1.5 hours' drive from Cairns. The Innisfail region is renowned for spectacular waterfalls, fishing, Mission Beach, the Family Islands, and World Heritage rainforest.
Allied Health Services Cassowary encompass three rural hospitals; Innisfail, Tully and Babinda and provides high quality Allied Health Services including Child Protection Liaison, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work, Dietetics and Speech Pathology inpatient, ED and outpatient services.
About your role:
- Involvement in service provision to patients as part of the Physiotherapy Department public holiday and weekend service, and out of hours roster as operationally required.
- Demonstrate recognised expertise, knowledge and skills obtained through professional development activities, post-graduate education or formal qualification(s) and a commitment to participation and provision of professional development and learning initiatives for the development of self and others.
- This position leads the development of professional competence and knowledge base in Physiotherapy across the rural facilities.
- Work cooperatively, effectively and assist the Team Leader Allied Health and the Physiotherapy Director to promote optimal service provision and outcomes including assisting and contributing to effective administration and management of resources.
