Your new role:

As a Clinical Nurse within QEII Perioperative Services, you will play a pivotal role in delivering advanced specialist nursing care and coordinating perioperative resources to support safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical services. Working within a multidisciplinary team across seven operating theatres and a procedure room, you will provide expert clinical leadership while supporting education, quality improvement, and service delivery outcomes.

• Provide advanced clinical leadership and expert perioperative nursing care for elective and emergency surgical patients across a range of specialties.
• Coordinate and manage surgical consumables, equipment, and clinical resources to ensure safe, efficient, and effective patient care outcomes.

About you:

You are an experienced and motivated perioperative nursing professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient-centred care. You bring strong clinical judgement, leadership capability, and a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

• Registered Nurse with current registration through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and relevant perioperative nursing experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, apply advanced clinical reasoning, and lead clinical decision-making in complex healthcare environments.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.

We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
