Cross River Rail Delivery Authority (CRRDA)…Your chance to work with the best!

The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is building a new 10.2km rail line that includes 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD; with four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street.

Once complete, it will provide trains with a much-needed alternative rail path through the core of the current SEQ Rail network, unlocking a bottleneck and allowing more trains to run more often across the whole of South East Queensland.

The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is also delivering multiple supporting projects and activities in conjunction with Department of Transport and Main Road. These include accessibility rebuilds for eight surface stations, construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast; upgrades for stabling yards; track works and surface rail enhancements; and the introduction of a new ETCS digital signalling system.

About the Roles

We are seeking two talented professionals to join our team at the AO6 level:

Procurement and Contracts Advisors: Take on a dynamic role that blends contract management with procurement activities. In addition to managing contracts, you will support procurement processes for low-value, low-risk engagements, ensuring alignment with organisational policies and value-for-money principles.

These opportunities are offered as a fixed term contract until September 2028 with possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the achievement of strategic and operational objectives as part of the procurement and contract management team.
  • Prepare, administer, and review procurement and contract documentation.
  • Coordinate contract administration processes and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify, manage, and advise on contract and procurement risks.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and systems.
  • Support end to end procurement and contract management activities, including planning, market engagement, evaluation, negotiation support, contract award and contract management for low to medium risk procurements.
  • Monitor and process procurement requisitions, ensuring alignment with contracts or Standing Offer Arrangements (SOAs).
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance and procurement frameworks.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand and meet procurement needs.

About You:

To be successful in these roles you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in contract administration, including ideally across multiple categories including ICT, professional and corporate services.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Sound information management capabilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel skills highly desirable) and familiarity with contract management systems.
  • Understanding of Queensland Government procurement and contract management frameworks, or a willingness to obtain relevant certification.
  • Commitment to continuous skill development and openness to training and mentoring opportunities.
  • Understanding of government procurement processes, templates, and probity requirements.
  • Experience supporting procurement activities for low-value and low-risk engagements, including processing and monitoring purchase requisitions.
  • Ability to clarify requirements with stakeholders and support timely procurement processes.
