About the role
- The purpose of this role is to provide oral health patient care to eligible clients and contribute to an effective teaching environment for students within the Oral Health Centre.
- To provide a learning space for current applicants working towards gaining a Certificate III in Dental Assisting.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Fulfil the accountabilities of this role in accordance with OHC purpose and objectives.
- Work collaboratively within a team of Dental Assistants, providing a high level of infection control standards, patient outcome, and contribute to the effective education of students.
- Undertake other work-related duties within the expected range of responsibility and competence for the position.
- Sterilisation of reusable medical devices and equipment including hand pieces, burs and other specialised equipment if enrolled in an appropriate course or holding relevant qualifications such as a Certificate III in Sterilisation Services.
- Liaise with senior staff as required for professional advice and development.
