About us:
This role is one of 6 Management Accountants and 5 Senior Management Accountants who report to the Manager, Management Accounting within the Finance Division. These roles work within allocated portfolios to provide financial support to the hospital and community facilities across the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service.
About the role:
- Perform management accounting functions including assisting with budget setting, forecasting, performance reporting, data analysis and resource management.
- Support cost centre managers and Senior Management Accountant with costings for business cases in relation to changes to, or new services with allocated business unit.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and review strategies to manage and continually improve financial support services whilst meeting the objectives or organisational requirements.
- Ability to work autonomously on specific tasks, whilst at the same time working collaboratively with the Senior Management Accountant, management accounting team and broader finance team to achieve outcomes.
About you:
- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in business, accounting, finance or other relevant discipline would be well regarded.
- Experience in budget preparation, forecasting, performance reporting, data analysis and resource management for a large, complex organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and an ability to negotiate, resolve conflict and positively influence and motivate others
- Knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge of Queensland Health approved financial computer systems, policies, procedures, legislative frameworks.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $9,800 p.m. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $47.18 - $51.98 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
