About the role
Permanent full-time opportunity to achieve excellence in patient care, education, and research. This includes implementing and monitoring operational activities and leading professional governance activities for a small team of Orthoptists.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Deliver specialised Orthoptic clinical and consultancy services to STARS Ophthalmology Service in accordance with accepted professional practices, legal and ethical requirements with a high degree of independence.
- Provide advanced clinical advice and direction to a team of Orthoptists and Optometrists to ensure effective service delivery and quality outcomes applying change management, conflict resolution and negotiation skills where necessary.
- Actively contribute to workforce planning and resource management to meet service requirements.
- Develop, monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes for the Ophthalmology service through the collection, analysis and reporting of relevant data, key performance indicators and outcome measures.
