Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service provide an extensive range of health services at more than 30 regional, rural and remote facilities across a geographical area of 142,900 square kilometres. The Health Service is 95 percent self-sufficient with only a small number of high-level acute services being provided in Townsville and Brisbane.

About your role:
- Liaise, negotiate and develop effective networks with internal and external stakeholders including government agencies, and service providers to successfully deliver positive outcomes.
- Supervise and support staff within the team including roster and leave management and assist with the review of work practices by maintaining high professional work standards whilst seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Interpret legislation, codes, standards, policies, guidelines and practices related to Patient Travel, Staff Travel and motor vehicles and provide high quality written and oral advice as required.
- Supervise the validation of vendor accounts and claims ensuring payments are in accord with policy and approvals and prepare electronic uploads and manual journals.
