About us: 

The Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers a large geographic area with a diverse and growing population. The Health Service provides a wide range of primary care, acute and specialist services.

Older Persons Subsacuate and Rehabilitation services include a few of many as listed below. 

  • Aged care assessment (FNQ ACAT & Memory Services).
  • Transition Care Program (TCP).
  • Geriatric Emergency Department Intervention (GEDI).
  • Residential Aged Care Facility in-reach service (RACF in reach).

About you:

In your new role you will…

  • Provide advanced Occupational Therapy clinical assessments, treatments and evaluations within a complex and multi-specialty service, demonstrating advanced level of problem-solving skills.
  • Work collaboratively within the work unit and across professions to ensure effective service delivery, implement quality improvement, promote best practice in subacute services, advocate effectively and utilise effective conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Deliver advanced clinical consultancy services across multi-specialty adult rehabilitation and geriatric areas, applying professional judgement to problems of significant scope, ensuring high quality outcomes to meet patient needs.
