The purpose of this role is to provide high-quality multidisciplinary pathology services across Haematology, Transfusion, Chemical Pathology, Molecular Diagnostics and Microbiology, ensuring accurate and timely diagnostic testing within a continuous shift laboratory environment.
What you'll do
In this role you will perform and validate diagnostic testing across multiple pathology disciplines, apply scientific judgement to patient results and clinical interpretation, provide technical advice and support to clinicians and stakeholders, contribute to quality and accreditation activities, participate in continuous shift rostering, support specimen reception processes, maintain analyser and calibration records, contribute to workflow improvement initiatives, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary scientific team.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Holds a tertiary qualification in Medical Laboratory Science
- Has multidisciplinary pathology experience across diagnostic services
- Can apply scientific judgement and problem-solving skills effectively
- Has experience working within laboratory quality and accreditation frameworks
- Can work independently and collaboratively within a 24/7 environment
- Has strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
