We are looking for a dedicated Team Leader to lead and manage the day to day operations, system support services and project implementations of the Digital Service Centre to ensure the delivery of high level quality service support for ICT services within Queensland Health.
What you'll do
As the team leader, you will provide real-time management and coordination of Service Desk resources to meet service support demands and deliver against quality and service delivery KPIs, with a strong focus on timely clinical response and resolution. You will lead, supervise, coach and mentor team members to achieve branch objectives, including implementing performance improvement plans, supporting career succession planning, and coordinating training and development in line with contemporary HR frameworks to maximise customer service outcomes. You will also provide high-level operational support and administration by ensuring compliance with departmental standards, policies, procedures and IT service management processes, and you will monitor and advise on resource planning to strengthen DSC capacity and capability-ensuring reliable first level support for clinical services and responsiveness to seasonal demand, including bulk intake and clinician placement rotations.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Demonstrated leadership capability to coordinate and allocate work within a service desk environment, delivering high-quality customer service and meeting agreed service levels across a complex ICT setting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, coach and mentor team members, and provide effective performance and development feedback.
- Well‑developed organisational, problem‑solving and continuous improvement skills, including the ability to manage priorities, adapt to change, and apply (or quickly learn) ITSM tools and ITIL service management processes.
