The Office of the Chief Clinical Information Officer is seeking a Principal Business Analyst to provide and enhance statewide clinical data, analytics intelligence services to support decision-making and improve healthcare outcomes. Support the delivery of Queensland Health's data strategy.
What you'll do
As a Principal Data Analyst, you will provide expert advice to deliver high‑quality statewide data and analytics across both digital and non‑digital environments, supporting consistent and reliable clinical insights. You will actively engage with internal and external experts to maximise opportunities for data sharing, collaboration and standardisation, while initiating and sustaining strong partnerships with clinical networks and key stakeholders through effective consultation, negotiation and issue resolution. You will contribute to the strategic direction of information management and reporting for digital hospitals, including the transition from non‑digital processes and measures, and demonstrate highly effective interpersonal skills to influence change and improve the quality and use of statewide clinical data. You will also actively pursue professional development and contribute to the advancement of professional knowledge through research, publications and presentations.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering innovative, large‑scale data and analytics solutions within a digital healthcare or clinical information systems environment.
- Strong analytical capability, including the application of appropriate statistical methodologies to interpret data, assess outcomes and support evidence‑based decision‑making.
- Highly developed written and interpersonal communication skills, with a proven ability to engage stakeholders effectively and manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
